Translational Technologies and Resources

An important goal of the YCCI is to expand and integrate resources for clinical and translational research. YCCI has formed technology clusters that are established and available for use.  We have also identified emerging technologies that will provide Yale scientists with a much more diverse set of resources for clinical and translational research in the near future.

Yale’s six clusters of research technologies are:

  1. Imaging
  2. Routine and Discovery-Based Human Specimen Analysis
  3. Physiology and Metabolism
  4. Cognition and Behavior
  5. Drug Development
  6. Cells and Gene Therapy

Each cluster forms a working group comprised of the heads of individual cores or their designees, one of whom will serve as Director. Provisional Directors are named in the application for each of the clusters. The Directors will meet as a Technological Resources Steering Committee of the YCCI, chaired by Deputy Dean for Scientific Affairs Carolyn Slayman, PhD.
