Yale’s individual center pilot and feasibility programs have been enormously successful, demonstrating that a large return can result from a small investment in a novel concept from its creative group of scientists.

The YCCI pilot program is being built on this track record of success by leveraging its pilot and feasibility program to:

  • stimulate the development of new translational and clinical research teams that cut across the traditional boundaries of categorical disease centers;
  • expand support for young investigators;
  • stimulate the development of new technologies; and
  • promote research in the community.

YCCI is pleased to announce the opportunity to apply for the PILOT PROJECT GRANTS for 2008.  The YCCI pilot program is aimed at stimulating:

1) the development of new translational and clinical interdisciplinary research teams that cut across the traditional boundaries of categorical disease centers;
2) the development of new technologies; and
3) the use of core resources.

YCCI invites proposals in the following areas:

  • Pilot Projects in Translational and Interdisciplinary Research
  • Development of Novel Clinical and Translational Methodologies
  • Pilot Projects utilizing Core Technologies
