Pediatric Protocol Review Committe (PPRC)

The focus of this committee is twofold: (1) to review the scientific validity of proposed studies in minors; and (2) to ensure that appropriate and systematic measures to minimize risk to pediatric subjects are incorporated into the protocols.

The Committee is sponsored by the Department of Pediatrics. The Committee is co-chaired by Thomas Carpenter, M.D. (Pediatric Research Subject Advocate) and Alia Bazzy-Asaad, M.D. (Chief of the Section of Pediatric Respiratory Medicine).

The PPRC reviews all pediatric research protocols. (Pediatric Oncology protocols should be submitted to the YCC Protocol Review Committee (YRC-PRC).
