Investigational Drug Service

This service has supported the clinical research efforts of our investigators for more than 20 years and has played an important role in more than 1,000 different clinical trials.

The IDS assists YCCI investigators with study design, development of IND submissions, randomizations, blinding methodologies, and preparation of educational materials for patients and staff. The staff also compound and repackage medications and placebo formulations, and control investigational drug inventories. They provide 24 hour a day access for randomization, enrollment , and dispensing medications and provide central randomization and drug distribution services for multi-center investigations within and outside the United States. The IDS is responsible for pharmacy services in the new YCCI Outpatient Research Center.

IDS services will also be available for provision and formulation of drugs for the laboratory based studies of our translational investigators.
