Budget Development

The primary aim of the YCCI ORS budgeting unit is to assist investigators in developing and securing the appropriate budget to conduct their clinical and translational research.

This is accomplished by helping to identify the true costs of study procedures and analyses and, when requested, successfully negotiating with industry sponsors to secure appropriate funds.

Some of the services provided by the budget office include:

• Assistance in developing detailed internal budgets of the actual costs associated with completing a research study
• Assistance with the negotiation of the sponsor provided budget and payment terms
• Providing consultation services for junior investigators applying for funding
