Programs for Residents and Fellows

Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program (RWJCSP)

The RWJCSP is funded through 2015 and is one four RWJCSP sites in the nation. Yale’s program prepares physician leaders to work within communities, participate in policy development, and lead organizational change in a rapidly evolving health care system. Through a minimum of two years of training in structured coursework, mentored clinical and community research, exposure to leaders, and patient care experience, the Program provides opportunities to work across disciplines and to think creatively and rigorously about health care issues. Each year 6-8 Scholars are selected from 30-35 national candidates who represent a full spectrum of disciplines in medicine.

MPH degree programs for residents and fellows

Each year, 2-3 Griffin Hospital Preventive Medicine Residents and 2-3 Yale Occupational and Environmental Medicine Fellows enroll in the MPH program, as a program requirement.  In addition, 1-2 fellows from other medical school programs enroll in the MPH program on an elective basis each year.  Fellows may also enroll in the new MS in CDE.
