Laura Ment, MD
Professor of Pediatrics (Neurology) and Neurology

Dr. Ment is Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology. She is an expert on neonatal neurology, including developmental delay, neurogenetic disorders, and stroke. She is a member of the American Pediatric Society and the Society for Pediatric Research. She is Principal Investigator of an R01 and P01 identifying risk factors for early intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) in preterm neonates. She has received continuous funding from the NIH for over 25 years for research focusing on the adaptive mechanisms of the developing brain. Dr. Ment has mentored medical students and fellows, of whom 2 have faculty positions.
