YCCI ‘s Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program (RWJCSP) is a two year fellowship to train physicians to improve health and health care in New Haven through clinical and health services research and its translation into health care practice, policy change and/or better community health. The curriculum includes seminars in leadership development, principles of health policy and management; classes in community-based participatory research and a New Haven-based practicum in community partnered research. This unique learning environment not only provides opportunities for scholars to work across disciplines but it also teaches them to think creatively and rigorously about healthcare issues.
