Community Engagement

YCCI supports community-based initiatives, provides infrastructure for community-based and translational research, and fosters collaborations from within and outside its walls. YCCI’s Community Engagement efforts consists of the Community Alliance for Research and Engagement (CARE); the Yale School of Nursing; the Bright Bodies Program; and the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program. These activities are focused on sound community and population-based research methodologies, outreach through education and training programs, collaborations with many Yale-based research centers, and partnerships with community-based organizations and agencies. Our community collaborations are designed to take a comprehensive approach in tackling community-identified health research priorities.
