The CARE mission is tied to YCCI’s goal of translating scientific breakthroughs from the bench to the bedside by bringing research discoveries out into the community. To do that, we are strengthening existing community-university partnerships, promoting rigorous community based research, and disseminating research findings to the community, where they can be of practical benefit. I believe that our efforts to develop new models for conducting community-based research have real potential for improving the health of the residents of New Haven and beyond.
