Barbara Gulanksi, MD

Director, Clinical Research Units

As Assistant Program Director of the GCRC, Dr. Barbara Gulanski played a key role in the reorganization of the combined Adult and Children’s units in 2003. She managed the day-to-day activities of the unit, increased the diversity of the research portfolio, developed operational policies, increased the productivity and efficiency of the unit and made it more user-friendly.

Based on her prior management experience she is eminently qualified to take over broader responsibility for YCCI’s PCIR.  Dr. Gulanski will report to Dr. Tamborlane, the Director of Research Services and be a member of the Research Services Steering Committee. She will chair weekly management meetings of the PCIR leadership group.
