Dr. Cynthia Brandt received residency training in Preventive Medicine, a Masters of Public Health in health services research and completed post-doctoral training in Biomedical Informatics with an emphasis on databases for clinical research. She has extensive experience in data management and in the design and application of informatics tools to manage data from many different types of clinical research including large multi-site studies. She is currently funded through a K23 Award from the NCRR which focuses on clinical vocabularies and clinical databases for clinical research. Her research centers on the creative use of informatics in support of clinical research. Dr. Brandt is actively working with clinical investigators to provide informatics support, tools and education. She will also ensure that the investigators data storage and management plans are fully compliant with HIPAA regulations.
